Linda Stepney: Candidate for Evingar Ward

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council 2021

Local Liberal Democrats have chosen Linda Stepney to stand for election to Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council in May.

Linda and her husband, Roy, have lived locally on a farm for over 40 years. They have two children and five grandchildren. She is now retired but was a secretary all her working life.

Linda has always volunteered for work in the community. She is currently a Town Councillor, Trustee of a Welfare Charity, and secretary and volunteer driver for Whitchurch Neighbourcare. She loves nothing better than helping others.

Linda has been a member of the Party for many years. She is very involved in Committee work and in delivering Focus far and wide. She is committed to Climate Change matters and 'being green' issues, particularly recycling. Being a farmer's daughter, Linda has a particular interest in farming issues.

Linda likes doing cryptic crosswords, reading and doing jigsaw puzzles. She is a member of the National Trust and visits as many properties as possible. Family is important to her and she enjoys spending time with her husband and the rest of her family.
