Mrs. Frances George of Overton explains to Martin Tod what difference the Lib Dem's proposed £25 per week extra pension would make to pensioners over 75.
Liberal Democrat campaigner, Martin Tod, is calling for a £25 per week boost for pensioners over 75.
During a recent visit to Overton, he delivered £25 worth of groceries to local pensioner, Mrs Frances George, and heard what a difference a £25 increase in the pension would make.
Commenting after his visit, Martin Tod said "the basic pension must be raised - starting with older pensioners who are usually the poorest. The link between pensions and earnings that was broken by the Conservatives in 1980 should be restored to give pensioners a decent standard of living".
