Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Spokesperson, Martin Tod, joined Andover Liberal Democrat Councillors outside Andover War Memorial Hospital on Saturday to protest against the proposed closure of Andover's Minor Injury Unit's night service.
The NHS Trust has recently spent money on the training of nurses for the service and have now used the change in the GPs' contract as a way to close it.
Martin Tod commented: "It's bonkers to be cutting back on Andover's hospital services at the same time as the town is rapidly expanding. It's also been appalling the way they've pushed ahead with this without proper consultation with local people and the local council."
How you can help:
There's a public meeting of the Mid Hampshire Primary Care Trust in Andover Guildhall at 7pm on Monday 24th May. It will make a real difference if as many Andover residents as possible turn up and make their voices known.
