Martin Tod cleaning up Tadley with General Waste and Jo Slimin
After spending a couple of hours collecting litter during the Tadley Spring Clean Weekend, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Spokesperson, Martin Tod, was enthused by the work everyone had put in.
"The work done by Cllr. Jo Slimin and the Town Council is really impressive. The borough helps with litter pickers and rubbish bags - but the litter picking is done by local people - and it's very much organised from the ground up. There's also a programme of school visits and other activities designed to help teach schoolchildren about the importance of avoiding litter and minimising waste - spearheaded by the imposing 'General Waste'

As part of the activity, Jo persuaded Martin to visit a website set up to mark World Environment Day on June 5 and sign up to their environmental pledges.
