Martin Tod, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for North West Hampshire commented "We were very pleased to see so many people back this campaign so quickly. At times, people were queuing to sign the petition. The council tax is very unpopular and hits pensioners particularly hard. We were getting support from all ages."
The campaign is also being run in other towns and villages across the North West Hampshire constituency, including Whitchurch, Tadley and Overton.
